Experienced Musculoskeletal/Sports Physiotherapist
Nick Shanahan
Nick completed his Curtin University Physiotherapy degree in 1989 after a Physical Education degree at UWA (1986). He started Private Practice in 1991 at Mercy Hospital in Mt Lawley. 1993-95 were busy years starting his own clinics at Forrest Chase in Perth and Swan Aquatic Centre in Midvale plus completing Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy. He played First Division Hockey for 14 years and was a member of the WA State Hockey team last century, including one National Championship Gold.
Over the past 35 years Nick has developed expertise in treating Sporting Injuries, Neck/Back pain, differential diagnosis of headaches, Bike Fit as well as a special interest in the treatment of BPPV/vertigo. He has been a preferred provider for the Western Australian Institute of Sport Swimming and Hockey programmes.
Long distance cycle touring, traveling WA and guitarist for a local band are interests outside of work. He has been involved coaching local sport including AFL and hockey as well as providing First Aid for local football teams.

Aaron Shanahan
Aaron is a Physiotherapist from Curtin University. Before trying his hand at physio, Aaron finished an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at UWA, but decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and make the switch to Physiotherapy. Aaron joined the clinic in January 2024.
Under Nick, Aaron has completed further training in BPPV and vertigo, jaw pain and headaches. He also has a special interest in neck pain, shoulder pain and running/sports injuries.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys social sport, running and he’s a bit of a whiz in the kitchen. He has also swam to Rottnest a few times (with some help) and might complete his first marathon this year.

Katie has recently returned to the workforce after starting a family. She loves spending time with her family, all water sports, especially snorkelling.

Isla keeps a low profile. She is seen at the office during the week getting about driving the front desk and helping our clients with their enquiries. She reserves her best work for being a great OT student.
