Worker’s Compensation Physiotherapy

What is Worker’s Compensation?

Worker’s compensation is an insurance scheme that is compulsory for West Australian businesses to hold. In the event of an injury at work, workers can be compensated for their medical care and treatment post accident. Physiotherapy intervention is common post-accident as we provide expertise in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions. We also play an important role in planning return to work post accident.

How does it work?

After the incident, you will have to follow your employers guidelines for lodging a Worker's Compensation claim. To receive Physiotherapy, your GP will need to provide you with a referral.

What we need to know

Please bring the following information with you to your appointment.

  • GP referral letter and any investigations (scans/test results)

  • Date of injury.

  • Insurance company and claim number (if approved)

  • Contact person at insurance company.

We can see you before your claim has been approved, however, if your claim is denied you will be liable for the costs of your Physiotherapy appointments billed at our standard rate.

Who pays the bill?

You will pay no fees out-of-pocket for all medical treatment. The insurance company is responsible for your Physiotherapy treatment and any devices (e.g. splints, boots) that you may require.
